DELICATO PRO BY STEFAN HATTENBACH

Delicato integrates unique modern details over a decidedly traditional foundation. The design fulfills Stefan Hattenbach’s goal of creating a sturdy text face for books and longer texts, while not precluding its use in more decorative settings. Stylistically, Delicato tips a respectful hat to Jeremy Tankard’s Enigma and Petr van Blokland’s Proforma.

In 2008, Delicato was expanded to OpenType Pro status, among the many features added the most notable is full support for Latin-based Central European languages, and that is the edition offered here.

Each Delicato font includes Extended Western and Eastern European Characters, Ligatures, Lining and Oldstyle Figures (both Proportional and Tabular), Alternates, and Ornaments. All of which greatly expand the family’s versatility.

The standard Delicato fonts — Regular, Italic, and Bold — also include full support for Smallcaps.
